As I grow older my body offers more specific instructions. First in subtle ways: what not to do, what not to eat and drink. And of course I resist even though I want to feel good, to be at peace. Joy has never come in my resistance to anything, especially with regard to my physical body. Though I often resist, I now hear my body urgently telling me to eat and drink well, and as I do these activities, to listen to for more instructions in the present moment.
