My Lady

My Lady writes to tell me about her day.
Such joyous news, and I feel so far away.
Her words reach through the screen and grab my heart.
“Where are you?” she writes.
She needs someone to scream at and to hug.
I smile, and then in a melancholic mood the cyberworld depart.
“If,” the rotten word, inundates my mind.
Stop, think how, and the answer you will find.
I call, but she is out sharing her glee.
Oh god, if she only knew the colors she paints in my mind.
When I see her I will tell her. That scent! I can almost smell her.
But perhaps first I shall grab her, reach out and really nab her.
For words cannot convey, my thoughts they would betray.
Oh I must let her know that the feelings she cultivates in my
heart be not my own...
Her beauty.
