My Day
I’ve got lots of spiders in my room.
Before I even think about it my thoughts go zoom,
and I am running in the woods.
Through my head fly “shoulds” and “coulds,”
and coasting in to my surprise,
a four year old holding my first prize.
I take the daisy and thank her kindly.
Then proudly I walk to my car, but also blindly.
I strain to pay attention to all the folks,
while in my mind I laugh at my buddy’s jokes.
Next I’m in the car and out on the road.
In front of me a beautiful woman I behold,
For now the highlights of my day are told.
I see her in the mirror to her left and to her right,
three images to compose her fairness.
