Morning
A pop and a click,
then the spinning of a disc.
Out come the words,
the sounds of the birds.
Are you given to fly, or have you got a wish?
I rise with the melody and then I fill my dish.
Tea, lemon, sugar and out the door.
I leave the man for the business whore,
making my move in the morning rush.
Turn up the radio and I can’t hear ‘em cuss.
