I must be imagining this world as a firehose and everything coming at me all at once! Of course I’m drowning, unable to swallow everything contained in this onslaught of flowing water. So I turn away to look for the prophets. Why are they not drowning? How have they learned to swim? “Do not look into our eyes,” the prophets say. “Look to where we are pointing, and try to go there.”
