Thursday Poem
Thor’s Day comes weekly,
arriving by chariot
and heralded by thunder.
This day is the spark
of a hammer falling on an anvil.
There’s no special verse for a Thursday.
The main idea is to keep it open -
free from conclusions.
The arrival of Friday is imminent.
The weekend fast approaches
but it has not yet arrived.
When it does come,
you don’t want it to find you
sloppy and unprepared.
So make sure to finish
whatever it is you’re doing.
Saturday will be expecting you.
