Idle Markets
On Saturday mornings there is a delightful stillness within my Dayton apartment complex. The great financial markets in Manhattan and London, in Tokyo and Beijing, are closed for the weekend. Thank god we can all sleep a little later, allowing our human desires to shape this day, and not the obligations of capital. Let’s take these easy moments, while the markets are idle, to enjoy our inherent freedom, and to remember genuine prosperity costs absolutely nothing.
