God's Lighthouse
If I could stand on Mars while focusing my telescope on Earth, I doubt it would improve my perspective on the struggles of our shrinking planet. Everyone who has suffered death has learned to accept the mystery by allowing the spirit deep within to hold the tension between this life, and the afterlife. Those avoiding death desire ladders, something easy to ascend, seeking a safe perch where they can live above the fray. The weary and broken know better from their toiling in the dark beneath God’s Lighthouse. They commit themselves daily to that seemingly impossible task of letting go their knowing. And when successful in doing so, they are lifted into the light.
