God's Gentle Kiss
The world I once inhabited, the one I created, no longer makes sense. It has ceased functioning - just ran out of gas, leaving me stranded in the middle of nowhere. The world of God is so much more. Like a photo of the lion, it comes to life chasing you, until you stumble headlong over Victoria Falls and learn you can fly like an eagle towards a warm sun you will never reach, yet which spills its impossibly bright light everywhere on this Earth, making it crawl with life both seen and unseen. What makes you human is the very same breath which creates the fish, the fig and the feather. It isn’t so mysterious as a strand of DNA. Rather it’s like that first kiss you received, or you didn’t, and have been searching for ever since. Let go and receive God’s gentle kiss.
