Fall is Coming
Steel yourself.
Take a jacket for the road.
Fall is coming.
The sun will seem to grow dim.
The days will become shorter.
The air will smell sweeter with the scent of decaying leaves,
and the breeze will bite a little harder.
Now picture yourself riding in a balloon,
any kind of colorful balloon,
rising against a blue sky,
fluffy clouds drifting by,
as you let go a deep sigh of contentment
bidding thanks to the beautiful scenery.
Some say it is the seasons which give life its meaning.
Some say it is written in the stars what you do,
what you’ll become.
I think it is a great mystery,
my every breath and step
a profession of my faith.
