Falling Apart
Am I difficult to live with?
This heart is full of love,
my intentions true.
So what drove me crazy?
Could it have been my loneliness?
A marriage with too little for me,
requiring every ounce of my being,
an inevitable collapse?
Darkness is an unholy beast,
sustained and nourished
by feeding upon itself.
She would collapse into bed in the early morning;
I had been awake for hours.
These guys bought us dinner and drinks.
My silence surprises me.
