Your Hug

I wanna hold you forever
being held myself
in your embrace,
your warm embrace.

The sizzle-tickle-touch of your skin
so familiar
as my own skin
with muscles tense
pulling me closer
pulling you closer.

Even as I am one
I float above and see the two
lovers wrapped in a bigger love,
divine expression
human form.

Suddenly
I know what it means
to be a rock
heavy, steady,
existing in God’s time
broken,
polished smooth by wind and water
until at last I am dust.

We are one
insomuch as the day and night
touching beautifully
at the beginning and end,
are not one,
not two either.
