Within Me Swells a Stone
The years are drifting by faster and faster. I chastise myself for not keeping pace. But who can truly keep pace for long? Within me swells a stone, fixing my being more firmly to this time and place. Even so, I want to join the breeze as easily as a leaf in autumn. I want to remember the summer for those effortless days. I want to know when to tighten my grip and when to clear space for the future.
