I close my door for silence, for solitude, for peace of mind, for warmth, for cool comfort, for my sanity. I close and in so doing am shown the cracks everywhere. There’s no reason for me to leave the door ajar. The world surges and spills open everything, sweeping me up into the mystic flotsam and jetsam.
