What's Your Beef?
Go to the source.
What’s your silent beef,
that thing you won’t mention
that torments you secretly,
making you seethe in anger
or resign in despair?
Henri tells us,
Go to the source.
He means find the origin
of whatever torments you
be it anger,
sadness,
or some gaping hole
sucking the meaning
from your precious being.
Seeking that source
makes a certain sense.
Awakening precedes knowing,
but first comes a deep breath
followed by a long sigh,
then at last acceptance.
