The Soul's Work
...is demolition.
I’m sure the naked soul is terrifying. For who could withstand the glare coming from the essence of all being, and not fear its penetrating eyes able to see through and beyond the walls we’ve constructed to prevent ourselves from falling into the arms of God? The soul doesn't care whether we refuse to see. It quietly goes about dismantling the fortifications around our hearts, and grants us the opportunity to witness our own suffering in the suffering of others, allowing compassion to teach us to love as God loves.
