What's Eating Me
This morning my mind cannot hold steady what my eyes see. My breaths are shallow and I feel a strange queasiness which points to my sinuses. I’ve felt like this before, but rarely without drink. So I become a detective, suspicious of everything, even the weather. I want this strange feeling to get out of my way. Of course this is always the case, I just want my uneasy feelings, real or imagined, to simply go away. Chances are good I’ll feel better when I eat something. In the meantime, I’ll wonder a little longer, what’s eating me.
