Timex
I can’t remember
where I lost my watch,
a well-weathered Timex,
which served me for years
without any need
to worry for its well-being.
Maybe I didn’t lose it,
so much as it finally left me.
Now I’ve been without a watch
for several long months,
during which there were many times
I looked at my empty wrist
wondering less about the time,
and more about what happened
to my trusty timepiece.
