Untimely Death
The ceiling fan turns silently, as the desert sun sends hot rays through the venetian blinds. “I’m so lonely,” says the neighbor’s dog, barking longingly for his owner. This is my day off I want it to begin slowly, quietly. So I lie in bed reading, seeking comfort for my journey: the reanimation of body and soul after an untimely death. Like all broken men I believed I was the predator, skillfully stalking my way through life. Yet comes that day when the hunter becomes the hunted, and God wields this life, more lethal than any weapon.
