Blue Room
Everything is bluish within this blue room. The carpet is blue, the woodwork is painted blue, the bed sheets are blue, and the lamp shade is blue. Even the fluorescent light has a blue hue. I have so much to think about which makes me blue, like my painful memories which seem to create a path leading me nowhere. It’s not my being nowhere or even my memories causing this queasy feeling. It’s my surrender, that awkward exchange of action for inaction, the bitter taming of my seething anger. This blue room, this blue room, this blue room tells me to let my anger go and be filled with love.
