The Wind Blows for a Reason
The wind blows for a reason. It’s persistence unnerves me. The invisible swells and crashes whistle around every corner, penetrate every crack. The wind and gravity pulling together deplete my resistance while picking up the scattered pieces of my lazy certitude, before cornering me inside my head. Some people fear silence, but it is the pounding wind which distresses and confronts me. I hunker down to hold my ground, waiting for the gales to become a whisper.
