The Spring Rains Gush
The spring rains gush, then they ebb so to allow us to absorb them. We drink water in gulps, not steady flows. And we prefer cold water, to the warm and stagnant. But for the noise of cars, I’d think the world outside my door is a rain forest - the rain on the roof is akin to the sound it makes on the leaves of a canopy. Now comes the wind to pressurize this house, and to dispel any illusion of impenetrable space. The day, then night, then day and night - now rain, tomorrow sun... What love then comes after a life of expectations?
