The Immeasurable
There are some things
which cannot be measured,
even though we insist
on quantifying them
with money accumulated
and achievements enumerated.
It’s all just smoke and mirrors.
We are but raindrops
falling into the ocean.
Whatever we leave behind
will be no more
by the time the seas boil
and the sun collapses.
There is no infinity stick
with which we can measure
the direct correlation
between any being,
any significant force,
and the God of all creation.
We just know the truth in our bones.
