The Good News

It’s a Monday.
Can’t you feel it?
You’re awake but already tired.
The work week comes rushing at you.

Tell me, how often do you wonder
if trading your precious days for dollars
is truly worth the cost to your sanity?
The greedy know it’s not a fair trade,
so they hoard all they possibly can.

Now smile with me.
Let’s have a chuckle at the ruse.
Life’s not so dour as all this.
You’ve forgotten the good news!
Whatever it is we’ve created here,
can be changed more easily than you think;
even forgotten after a couple of deep breaths.
