Spiritual Journey

A deep exhale
folding into a long sigh.
A satisfying belch
following a big meal.
Closing a book
after finishing the last page.
The calm everywhere
as the snow is falling silently.
The moment right after an orgasm
and right before opening your eyes.
Sitting in a holy space
feeling loved and forgiven.

So you find yourself
on a spiritual journey.
And so far,
it’s like those perfect moments
of sublime ecstasy.

Now let the road lead you further,
even to those places
you’d rather not go.
