I sit
but not idly.
I am relentlessly searching
the depths within,
and just beginning to see
the Universe without.
There is nothing left
for me to learn
from setting out
to conquer this world.
Sitting atop Everest
can make me no wiser;
the mere thought chills
and makes me lonely.
Within the stillness
I am discovering
room enough for everyone
and an infinite serenity.
