Slap the Buddha
Well-born, well-educated, well-funded, all add up to well enough. We may as well give this man a gun, an ace to stick up his sleeve, a shot of whiskey for Dutch courage, and a license to kill. The man who prints his own money has no need for humility, and hates to be reminded how babies enter this world. If I could only talk to that young man not yet gone long enough to seek forgiveness, I would tell him: ask your big questions twice and then slap the Buddha three times to wake him and any other sleeping spirits, so they can laugh at your hubris.
