A Morning Prayer for Peace

A morning prayer for peace:
peace in my head,
peace in my heart,
and peace in my gut.

Peace sought
inspires a spiritual journey
of great beauty
and of great significance
to my life,
as well as the lives
of everyone I touch.

Even peace unsought,
germinating from the tiny seed
I bear in my soul,
is a grace beyond comprehension,
and the very magical stuff
with which the sun warms this day
so the apple tree can offer its fruit.
