Simon Says
Simon says, Wake up! I open my eyes and check the clock. Simon says, C’mon let’s get up. So we get up and get dressed. Simon says, Take me and Griffin out to pee. Then down the stairs and out we go. Simon says, Now feed me, I’m so hungry. On bended knee I scoop his food. Simon says, Let’s take a nap until our walk. I take a seat with my tea. Then Simon falls quiet and jumps up next to me, while Griffin flops peacefully onto his bed of blankets. I open my books to begin my daily meditation, alert and waiting patiently for the next thing Simon says.
