Reverence Falls
...like soft rain in the dark...
All the same stories I’ve been telling myself about you, about those years now passed behind us like dust blown down an empty road – maybe they aren’t all true. Who will ever know what happened back there? Somehow I became humble when suddenly faced by what really matters. My anger tries to remind me I never really mattered to you. Everything we left behind is still hot to the touch. Foremost, I remember our bottomless need.
