Letting go is my grace. It comes without toil, a breath, an exhale. I wake when it’s still dark. A fire truck rolls by. Engine brakes roar, the red water dragon stops. Then it growls off who knows where. My breath returns. Along with some sadness. An opera scene opens in my mind filled with large boulders. A young tenor sings tales of woe While the wind chorus, carries them into the air. His words will never find their intended, and even so would be unintelligible. Still he sings until his breath gives out. An exhale: forgiveness returns.
