RED land

In the morning just before day breaks,
fading shadows enter softly and dance till he’s awake
His mind’s so clear he admires their serenity,
but what of his lost muse off to join the enemy?

Life is seamless; life is sore
Images of last night seep into every pore.

Her silent path wilts in the blazing sun
Gone forever the sweet taste of her tongue.
She has no beginning and does not end
Where can she go? Where has she been?

Life is seamless; life is sore
Images of last night seep into every pore.
Pen in mouth and fire in mind,
he dreams of a land absent in time.

His anger grows but his courage wanes,
wounded at heart, on him life gains.
She has no beginning and does not end.
His love won’t bring her back home again.

Life is seamless; life is sore
Images of last night seep into every pore.
Pen in mouth and fire in mind,
he dreams of a land absent in time.
