Prayers
They’ll change you.
This poem is another prayer for all those days which add up to a lifetime of prayers spoken, but mostly unspoken, in long sighs and eyes focused into the middle distance where uncertainty looms behind large objects just out of focus. I pray myself awake each morning and then to sleep at night. I pray for you, for him, her, them, we. But most of all I pray for me, that I may remain open in both the light and the dark of my tiny existence always just beyond my human comprehension.
