Finding My Ground
Stand tall.
I sit uneasy in my easy chair. The earth beneath me is soft and shifting. The sound rock of truth insists I stand. Will surrender save me? Will remaining grounded make any difference to my self-centered soul so afraid of humility? I struggle to save all those things time will take away, yet barely notice my growing heart, which creates oceans from a drop of water and brilliant stars from a single spark. I quickly forget there is within me a pathway to serenity, where everything belongs and I can rest peacefully.
