Place of No Escape

Turn off your phones
and anything else with blue lights
which disturbs the darkness.
Also turn off anything with red lights
which make an audible warning.

Find your place of no escape.
Disarm yourself and face the present.
See if you can remember
the playful sobriety of your youth,
before the world became a place
from which you had to escape.

There is a great peace within,
and those who know it best
are those with the fewest choices.
Do not admire your cleverness,
it will one day destroy you.
