Perhaps

...is an odd revelation.

Perhaps there is justice
in growing old,
in not being able
to read the fine print,
and in living so long
we can remember when
the same something
happened before.

Perhaps there is meaning
in having grown to full size,
and to seeing this world
as both a child
and as an adult.

Perhaps there is possibility
in having to let go
of loved ones and cherished things,
and no longer being certain
when faced with big questions.

And perhaps there is beauty
in starting something new,
with the possibility
it will never be finished,
or may be given to someone else.
