Lunch with an Old Friend
...is like looking into a mirror.
When the stress of a busy day gives way in an instant, you’ll often hear a sigh, followed by a question from an old friend. What happened to the last twenty five years? We both blink but have no answers. I look at him, then peer over his shoulder, half-expecting the explanation to be right there. We both stare blindly, thinking about our younger days, when looking backward was impossible and looking forward was so easy.
