How I ever got fixated on you, I can’t say for certain. I write the words and I know this is bullshit. You were just the right mixture of pretty and sweet: the perfect cocktail. I drank, and drank, and drank. I got sick. What can I say? I wanted more. You didn’t have anything else behind the bar. I got lousy. I just wanted some water, a moment of peace, anything. Instead you took it all away… first the sweet drinks, and then you to pour them. Cold turkey wasn’t my choice.
