Our Livelihood
It’s the simplicity and the ordinariness of what I do which makes it so sacred and meaningful. The product of my true being is made possible by only my beating heart, and the warm, wet breath of God urging me forever deeper into relationship with my humanity. I was not born to earn, to amass great wealth or achieve unimaginable comfort. My livelihood is not a career, a profit or a paycheck. I grow strong and beautiful in the soil made rich by the bodies of the fallen drenched in tears from the sky, and bathed in light and warmth by a distant, golden fire. My life is an amazing gift. My livelihood, our livelihood, is to pass it along.
