Ohio
There’s something subtle about nature in these parts. It drips, but doesn’t gush. It rolls, but doesn’t protrude. There are things that bite, but their bite is much less terrible than the arctic winds or equatorial sun. It’s easy to understand why people would settle here. It seems manageable, unlike all the chaos we invite into our lives. The weather is predictably seasonal, and aside from the odd year in seven, there is a natural peace of mind.
