No Superlatives

The Beginning

• No Superlatives
• Driftwood
• Klimt
• Running
• Wisconsin
• Swing Dancing
• Radio Head

The Middle

Transcend the logical
Logical but never give up the magical
Tough when you are sensitive to think logically
What is the “value” (under capitalism) in feeling?
[My gift of poems is not so “valuable” to you.]

The pleasure in meeting you is mine.

I thank you kindly for the note.

When I stop to think of Nashville,
only beauty comes to mind.

She told me she doesn’t believe in superlatives.
She’s the prettiest.
She told me she loves swing dancing.
She turned on Radio Head.
She told me she’s from Boston.
She talks as though from Wisconsin.
She talks about running marathons.
She likes the idea of driftwood.

The End

Going places and meeting people is nice.
Running into you was serendipitous.
I am glad you are flattered.
I thank you kindly for the note, and I assure you the pleasure in meeting you and sending it is mine.
Nashville will no longer be a country music myth for me; instead I’ll be thinking of old friends, a newly married couple, and this girl who sounds like she is from Wisconsin, but claims to be from Boston (?)!
Now I must assure you that my intentions could not possibly have been purer.
I wish you all the best.

It will be difficult to find another person who:
• Doesn’t believe in superlatives
• Listens to RADIOHEAD
• Enjoys Swing Dancing
• Runs for Fun
• Likes the idea of Driftwood
• Looks so darn pretty!
