My Shadow
Blinded by the light.
At last my shadow
shows itself to me!
What I once mistook for shade
is actually the screen
behind which puppet masters
manipulate my strings.
Now that I see,
I cannot summon the anger
I heaped upon others
so my shadow would remain
deep in the unseen.
So what now Shadow?
It’s your move.
Will you tell me what
I don’t want to know?
Will you help me make amends
to those I condemned
for keeping your company?
