Here We Go

Here we go!
Yet this is not our departure point.
Our journey began eons ago.
So here we go,
and keep on going.

How could this be news?
Our lives are but a single breath:
an eternal inhalation
followed by a perpetual exhalation.
The mysterious repetition never ends.

Even now the music plays,
and even so the silence deafens.
Don’t read the headlines.
Today is only a milestone,
while our life is a flowing river.
