Here and Now

Here and now,
not there later,
not somewhere warmer,
somewhere cooler,
somewhere sooner,
somewhere WARMER.

Money is a shady salesman,
and so is Youth,
and so is Time,
and so is anything
which would have you believe
only half-truths;
what your head is telling you
without consulting your gut,
or your heart.

Let your soul
carry the existential weight
of this Universe
within your longing,
and in your expansive desire
to be devoured by the creative abundance
called God.

Now plant your feet firmly.
Your body can carry
all that is here,
all in the now.
If it is snowing outside,
the body trusts
it is snowing everywhere.
