Heaven & Hell

I can’t give you
my vision of heaven.
I don’t have one,
or at least nothing so clear
as would paint a lovely picture.

Besides,
why would you want mine
or anyone else’s vision of heaven?
The weathered know too well
heaven is being revealed,
everywhere all of the time.

No one has ever dared
to ask me about hell,
which is just as well.
Not every darkness
requires some light,
and most everything
sleeps better undisturbed.

Let’s just sit for awhile
within this swirling milieu
of our human being.
Here we can do all those things
which make us undeniably alive
while letting sun and moon,
along with time and God,
sort it all out.
