God's Pocket
I always put the blue leash on Simon,
the red one on Griffin,
creating order -
or at least creating a color balance,
which means something in my tiny,
tiny universe.
What do you do to create order?
Do you park in the same place?
Eat the same thing for breakfast every day?
Carry your keys only in your right pocket?
Sit down.
Take a deep breath.
You could clean your car or your house today,
but no rearranging will make you feel as content,
as does embracing the chaos.
All of us,
we’re just living in God’s pocket.
