God is Closer (Than You Think)
You’ve probably noticed God at times seems closer, within easy reach. And it is during these moments our love flows, like a breeze moves through a tree, animating our souls, while scattering joy everywhere, in a thousand tiny leaves. Then there are those frigid days, even in July, when a yawning chasm separates us from any notion of God. This is when we write poems about lone wolves, and avoid making eye contact with the little kid sitting in the bascart at the grocery, who nevertheless, can still see God within us.
