Sleep is the great restorer of the energy to climb uphill, of the grace to laugh at myself, of the love which makes space for others, and of the wisdom not to fight all those battles already won. Sleep empties me of all the yesterdays and makes me ready for the present, where I can be with everyone as just another someone, without occupying more space than I am given.
