Fire
I carry an ember,
hold it out,
coax the flame with my breath.
In the light I see many faces
similar to my own,
each carrying a stick
they wish to ignite.
Where once I stood guard
now I stand back.
Make your own fires.
Just know this is not the truth.
It is a mere spark
of the eternal flame.
