Empty Buildings
Seeing myself in the urban landscape...
How very mean and low I’m feeling this morning! Everything is falling into the harsh focus of my critical mind. I’m aware of my outrage, and a strange concern for our vacant urban areas filled with tall, empty buildings. My angers seethes at the waste of so much space, tons of glass, steel and concrete empty of everything that truly matters in life. Still, the rush is on to build even more towers – here, there, and everywhere, yet are nowhere needed. I take a moment so the silliness of our world won’t subsume me in tall structures, in artifice and false narratives, or in the tower prison of my anger. The best thing I can do is to take a walk in nature and focus on natural formations with appreciation and love.
